Bois Fume is a warm mid tone natural brown shade. Smoked wood, or bois fume in French, is a time-honored tradition of treating wood to bring out the natural darkened tones, changing the wood’s tannins in the process. It also makes the appearance more luminous, casting a glow from within that is impossible to replicate using heavy surface stains. A light wire-brushing is used to subtly bring out the grain and create an ultra-matte non-reflective surface.
